Siberian Husky-How They Behave

Siberian Husky is a popular breed in North
America. Typically a sled dog, with an individual personality and an
intellect mind, husky is a friendly, affectionate and a wonderful
companion. It is important to mention that the Siberian Huskies are more
aware of their surroundings, compared to other dogs and tend to explore
newer settings and environments, with their inquisitive nature taking
the lead. So, they prove to be a good dog.
Friendly in nature, they form an attachment with
their humans easily and are loyal to the core. However, Siberian husky
is not a breed everyone can handle. It takes a lot more to train it, and
understand its requirements. Treating it like any other dog will prove
to be disappointing rather than successful. While dealing with the
Siberian husky there is another way to go about it, discussed bellow.
Some of the various traits and behavior patterns
of the husky are as follows.

Curious
If curiosity could actually kill, Siberian huskies
would be on the top of the list. The owners are challenged and some
times even baffled, to the extent that huskies go towards curiosity.
Curiosity is inbred in the huskies and they go to all extent such as
discerning a specific scent, chase an animal, finding out new places to
explore.
Affectionate and Nature Lover
Bred with the strength to easily adjust in an
outside kennel, the Siberian only requires a clean kennel, and its thick
fur coat covers it against both extreme cold and hot weather.
Siberian husky is very friendly and cuddly and
easily affixes it self with the entire family, especially children.
Athletic
Siberian husky is a powerful dog, initially meant
to be a work dog, needs vigorous exercising. With their over
enthusiastic nature, it is better to keep a husky on leash and not let
it out of your sight in open spaces. It may become restless and
frustrated if confined without any physical activity. Take it for a
walk, and an exercise routine every other day.
Escape Artist
Siberian husky is independent and strong to the
point of being stubborn at times. With the yearning to run and the
curiosity kicking in, many Siberian huskies escape into the open, never
to be found. Usually when they run out of something interesting, or they
are bored with little attraction, they set out to find something new and
interesting to keep themselves occupied.

Choral
As opposed to other dogs, a Siberian Husky rarely
ever barks. Much like a wolf, it prefers to whimper or moan, and if in a
good mood it lets out The Siberian Howl.
On a final Note
Despite the aggressive and outdoor nature, a
Siberian can easily adjust to new settings. Confident in itself, cuddly
and warm for families and with no worries of not surviving the cold
outside Siberian husky proves to be a good companion. |
